You can delete a single message, a whole conversation, a companion, or your entire account yourself, from inside the app. If you no longer have the app, email us and we will do it for you.
Delete some of your data
You do not have to delete your account to remove things. Each of these takes effect immediately and cannot be undone.
- One message, photo or voice note — long-press it in the chat and choose Delete for me. It is removed from your history; a copy already delivered to another person stays on their side.
- A whole conversation — open the chat, tap the ⋮ menu and choose Clear chat. Every message, photo and voice note in it is deleted, and the companion's memory of that conversation with it.
- A companion — open the chat, tap the name at the top and choose Delete companion. The companion, its conversation and everything it remembered about you are deleted.
- A friend or real-person chat — tap the name at the top and choose Delete this chat or Remove friend. The shared conversation is deleted for both of you.
- Profile details — Profile → pencil icon. Clear any field, or replace your photo, and save.
- Anything else — email support@doamour.ai with the subject Delete my data, say what you want removed and include the phone number the account is registered to. We confirm it is you with a one-time code to that number and reply within two working days.
What stays after a partial deletion is the same short list as for account deletion, below.
Delete your account
- Open DoAmour and go to Profile.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
- Confirm. You are signed out immediately and deletion begins.
There is no waiting period and no "are you sure" email. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone — signing in again with the same phone number starts a brand-new, empty account.
By email
Write to support@doamour.ai with the subject Delete my account, from any address, and include the phone number the account is registered to. We will send a one-time code to that phone number to confirm it is yours, then delete the account. Expect a reply within two working days.
What is deleted
- Your profile — name, photo, preferences, phone number.
- Every conversation, with companions and with people, including photos and voice notes you sent.
- Your companions and their memories of you.
- Your device tokens, so no further notifications are sent.
- Your invite code and any pending friend requests.
Deletion happens straight away, including the photos and voice notes you uploaded. Friends you had chatted with will see the conversation disappear on their side too.
What is kept, and why
- Purchase records — as long as tax law requires. They contain what you bought and when, not what you said.
- Safety reports you made or that were made about you — for as long as the matter is open, so a report cannot be erased by deleting the account.
- Anonymous crash and usage data already collected — it is not linked back to you.
